Delivery & Returns Policy
Plain-language summary of how payment, delivery, cancellations, timing and warranty work when you order an Expanders® unit.
This page summarises the customer-facing parts of our Terms of Trade. Where there is any difference, the full Terms of Trade apply.
Payment schedule
A 60% deposit is payable on order confirmation. This secures your build slot and starts production.
The remaining 40% is due once your build is complete and we have supplied photo proof of the finished unit — payment must be received before the unit is loaded for shipment.
Cancellations & refunds
We do not offer refunds for change of mind, at any time. Orders are built to your chosen configuration, so production is committed as soon as your deposit is received.
In exceptional circumstances Expanders® may agree to a refund at its sole discretion. Where we do agree, a 10% restocking fee applies and processing can take up to 60 days, because the unit needs to be on-sold to another customer first.
Once a unit has been delivered, no refunds are available under any circumstances. If you want to on-sell a delivered unit, we can assist you to find a buyer for a 10% service fee, with all delivery and logistics costs covered by you.

Delivery
We deliver New Zealand-wide. Delivery typically costs between $1,000 and $4,000 depending on distance and site access, and is quoted separately for each order.
Delivery is carried out by a third-party transport company arranged on your behalf. Expanders® is not liable for the performance of that transport company unless you have purchased optional TransitCare Protection ($990).
Any transport damage must be inspected and reported to us in writing, with photos, within 48 hours of delivery. If you have purchased TransitCare Protection, you have 5 days from delivery to report damage. After that window, the unit is deemed to have been accepted in good condition.

Build timing
Standard build time is approximately 4 months from a confirmed order. Custom configurations, and factors outside our control such as international shipping, material supply and factory scheduling, can extend this.
We keep you updated through the build and supply photo proof at completion, before the balance falls due.

Warranty
Every unit carries a 36-month structural warranty from the date of Practical Completion. Consumables and appliances are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties.
